Event Overview

Virtual Patient Journey Challenge is a national-level, interdisciplinary innovation challenge centered on advancing digital patient management skills among Health Sciences and Al CSE students. Delivered in a collaborative, team-based format, the competition brings together participants from diverse academic disciplines to encourage shared learning and integrated problem-solving. Each team will assess a virtual clinical case, analyze diagnostic data, and determine the most probable condition using structured reasoning and Al-enabled tools. By working collectively across domains, students develop clinical insight, digital competency, and a deeper appreciation for inter-professional decision-making in patient care.

Objectives

  1. To foster interdisciplinary collaboration among students from multiple universities and academic programs, promoting shared learning and integrated problem-solving in healthcare.

  2. To develop competency in digital patient management, including virtual case interpretation, diagnostic reasoning, and evidence-based decision-making.

  3. To enhance student familiarity with Al-assisted healthcare tools and improve confidence in utilizing emerging digital technologies in clinical contexts.

  4. To simulate real-world clinical teamwork, enabling students to apply medical, paramedical, and diagnostic knowledge in a coordinated patient-care approach.

  5. To build leadership, communication, and critical-thinking skills that prepare participants for professional practice in a technology-driven healthcare environment.
