TechCouture, Fashion Meets Innovation is a departmental fashion show competition organised by the Department of Fashion & Design under InnovFest 2026, designed as a single-day, on-campus runway event on 21 st February 2026. Focus on experimental silhouettes, tech-inspired aesthetics, sustainable approaches, and digital design techniques presented on a professional stage. It offers fashion and allied discipline students a platform to showcase future-ready, innovation-driven fashion collections directly on the runway, without any pre-event screening round.

To provide students with professional runway exposure.

Who can Participate?
Students from Chandigarh University and other recognised Design Institutes
Team Size: 1-3 students per collection
Faculty mentor: Recommended (not mandatory)
Rules & regulations
Each participating team will consist of 7-10 members, which may include designers, models, makeup artists, stylists, and backstage support.
Every individual or team must present a minimum of 3 to 6 garments, which can be male, female, kids, or a mix as per the concept.
The time limit per team is 5-8 minutes, which includes ramp walk, stage entry/exit, any minor prop setup, and stage clearance.
Teams must ensure that their concept and garments align with the theme "Fashion Meets Innovation" and follow campus decorum.

Q1. Is there any pre-event workshop?
No formal workshop is planned. Guidelines and reference material will be shared after registration.
Q2. Is a stitched collection required for Phase 1?
No. Only concept notes and sketches are required for Phase 1.
Q3. Can teams be interdisciplinary?
Yes. Teams may include students from design, engineering, media, or other disciplines.
Q4. Are accessories and styling evaluated?
Yes. Styling, accessories, hair, makeup, and runway presentation are part of the evaluation.
Q5. How many looks are mandatory?
A minimum of three and a maximum of six complete looks per team.
