"Tech for Truth: Al in Criminal Investigations and Beyond", organised by the University Institute of Allied Health Sciences (UIAHS), is a multidisciplinary forensic competition under Innovfest 2026. The event is designed to simulate real-world forensic workflows through a progressive, stage-wise competition covering forensic photography, crime scene investigation, laboratory analysis, and court-oriented reporting.

By integrating technology, scientific reasoning, and legal perspectives, the competition provides participants with hands-on exposure to modern forensic investigation practices while encouraging collaboration between forensic science and law disciplines.

Objectives

  • To bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical forensic application.

  • To enhance analytical thinking, evidence interpretation, and problem-solving skills.

  • To develop scientific and courtroom-oriented documentation and presentation abilities.

  • To promote interdisciplinary collaboration between forensic science and law students.

  • To foster innovation, professionalism, and real-world investigative competence.

  • First Prize: 2,500 + Certificate of Excellence

  • Second Prize: 1,500 + Certificate of Merit

    • Stage 1: Forensic Photography

    • The top 15 teams will be shortlisted.

    • Stage 2: Crime Scene Investigation and Case Presentation

    • The top 10 teams will be shortlisted.

    • Stage 3: Laboratory Analysis and Court-Oriented Reporting

    • The top 3 teams will be declared winners.
