Event Overview
PCB InnovateX is a two-day immersive workshop and design challenge organised by Chandigarh University to introduce students to industry-aligned Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design practices. Powered by experts from Altium, USA, the program will take participants through the complete PCB development lifecycle, from schematic design and library creation to routing, signal integrity considerations, and design-to-manufacturing integration. The event is structured to move beyond theory, offering intensive hands-on sessions using Altium Designer and Altium 365, the world's leading ECAD tools.
Designed for aspiring hardware innovators, PCB InnovateX will provide early exposure to professional design workflows followed by a time-bound design challenge that simulates real engineering environments. Participants will gain practical experience, direct mentorship from global industry experts, and access to advanced infrastructure such as the Altium-powered Product Design Lab at Chandigarh University. The initiative is aimed at building strong foundational skills in electronic product design while opening pathways to global scholarships, internships, and future opportunities in the hardware and electronics industry.
Objectives
The event aims at bridging theoretical understanding with real-world design skills by providing participants with hands-on experience in PCB design.
Participants will be introduced to Altium Student Lab, an online platform by Altium for real-world experience through hands-on and modular online courses.
Hands-on Experience & Skill Development to open the doors for internships, scholarships, and other exciting opportunities
