Learning Carnival: Celebrating Creative Classrooms is a two-day, department-level academic event organised by the University Institute of Teachers Training and Research (UITTR), Chandigarh University.
Designed as a platform for aspiring educators, the event celebrates innovative pedagogical practices, creative classroom engagement, and reflective teaching approaches. It brings together undergraduate and postgraduate students along with PhD scholars to explore experiential learning, collaboration, and learner-centred teaching in a dynamic academic environment.
The Learning Carnival focuses on pedagogical innovation and digital proficiency, encouraging participants to move beyond theory and apply concepts through practice-based activities. Conducted in hybrid mode, the event aligns with the principles of NEP 2020 by promoting competency-based education, digital integration, and professional development of educators. Through structured competitions and creative performances, participants gain exposure to innovative teaching tools, enhance digital literacy, and develop strategies to improve learner engagement and classroom effectiveness.

Schedule & Timeline
Event 1 - Learning Pathways Competition (Day 1) - 20th February
Participants will present 15-minutes innovative teaching sessions based on storytelling, educational technology, case studies, and drama. Judging is based on creativity, ICT use, engagement and presentation skills.
Event 2 - Street Play Competition: Education for All (Day 2) - 21st February
Teams will perform 3-5 minutes educational skits on themes such as inclusion, gender equality, ethics, and teacher-student relationships. This promotes reflective and expressive pedagogy.
