The Itinerary Innovator Challenge, organised by the Department of Tourism, UITHM, is an academic competition aimed at fostering creativity and practical skills in tourism planning. The event encourages students to conceptualise, design, and present innovative travel itineraries that are sustainable, feasible, and market-ready. Participants will apply theoretical knowledge to real-world tourism challenges, focusing on destination research, market segmentation, costing, risk management, and experiential itinerary design. By integrating classroom learning with industry practices, the challenge offers a platform for students to showcase their strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities in the tourism sector.
Objective
Enable students to design and pitch innovative, sustainable, and market-ready travel itineraries.
Bridge classroom learning with real-world tourism operations and industry expectations.
Develop practical skills in destination research, market segmentation, itinerary structuring, and costing.
Encourage strategic thinking, creativity, and feasibility assessment in tourism planning.
Strengthen presentation, pitching, and professional communication skills relevant to the tourism industry.

Round 1: Submission of destination, tourist segment, and itinerary framework.
Round 2: Screening of top 20 teams.
